Academic Advising

Academic Advising at The College of New Jersey provides a wide range of advising resources. Students are assigned an academic advisor who is a faculty member in their major program or an assistant/associate dean in their school. Faculty mentors teaching the First Year Seminar, department chairs, the Office of the College Core, the Center for Student Success, the EOF Program, and the Career Center may also provide advising support. Students are ultimately responsible for their academic progress and determining that they meet all academic requirements.  The Academic Requirements report, a tool to assist in tracking academic progress, is available to all students in PAWS. Students are strongly encouraged to review their Academic Requirements report regularly.  Both the undergraduate bulletin and Graduate Bulletin references academic advising and degree requirements.
